Livu Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

Meeting strangers on live video takes a little trust, and trust starts with knowing what happens to your data. This policy explains — in plain words — what Livu collects, why, who sees it, and the control you have over it. Questions are always welcome at support[at]livu.cc.

1. What This Policy Covers

This policy applies to everything under the Livu brand: the website, the live video chat matching service, one-to-one calls, text chat, coins and VIP purchases, and the safety and support tools around them. It sits alongside our Terms of Service, and both apply whenever you use the app.

2. The Data Livu Collects

We keep collection to what the service actually needs. Depending on how you use Livu, that can include:

  • Account details — the information you give us when signing up: nickname, age, gender, region, and profile photo.
  • Usage data — how you move through the app: matches made, features used, session length, and roughly when and where you connect.
  • Device and technical data — device type, browser, operating system, IP address, and connection quality, which keep video calls stable and help us spot abuse.
  • Content you choose to share — your profile, text messages, and whatever you show on camera during a call.
  • Purchase records — which coin package or VIP plan you bought and when. Card numbers themselves go to the payment processor, not to us.
  • Support conversations — anything you send when you contact us or file a report.

3. How We Use It

Everything we collect maps to a concrete job:

  • Running the matching: connecting you to another person for a live video conversation.
  • Keeping the community safe: enforcing the community guidelines, reviewing reports, and blocking repeat offenders.
  • Processing purchases and delivering the coins or benefits you paid for.
  • Fixing bugs, balancing capacity, and improving call quality.
  • Sending service messages you actually need — purchase receipts, security alerts, policy updates.

We do not sell your personal data. Full stop.

4. Cookies and Similar Tools

Livu uses cookies and similar technologies for a short list of purposes: keeping you signed in, remembering your preferences, understanding which pages are used (analytics), and protecting the service from fraud and bots. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings — the app will still load, but sign-in and a few convenience features may stop working.

5. Third Parties We Work With

Some features run through outside providers, each under its own privacy practices:

  • Payment processors handle your card or wallet details when you buy coins or VIP; we receive a confirmation, not your card number.
  • Analytics providers receive aggregated usage signals so we can see what is working.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers store and deliver the data the service needs to run.

We share only what each provider needs to do its job, and we do not authorize them to use your data for their own purposes.

6. Your Privacy on Livu

Your privacy on Livu is something you control, not just something we promise. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate details in your profile.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Object to certain processing or withdraw consent where consent was the basis.
  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.

To use any of these rights, email support[at]livu.cc from the address tied to your account and we will walk you through it. For day-to-day habits that protect you during calls — what to keep off camera, when to block, how reporting works — the Livu safety center is the practical companion to this page.

7. How Long We Keep Data

We keep personal data only while it serves a purpose: for as long as your account is active, plus a limited period afterwards where the law, a dispute, a fraud investigation, or a safety report genuinely requires it. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymized.

8. Children and Livu

Livu is an adults-only service. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and accounts found to belong to minors are removed along with their data. If you believe a minor is using Livu, please report it immediately.

9. Keeping Your Data Safe

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and moderation tooling to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure — which is also why the smartest privacy tool is the one you hold: think before you show identifying details on camera. Our how it works page explains what the other person in a call can and cannot see.

10. Changes and How to Reach Us

When this policy changes, the date at the top moves, and material changes will be flagged in the app where we reasonably can. Continuing to use Livu afterwards means the updated policy applies.
